The Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Intervention (CAMI) Account is the primary source of state funding for a multidisciplinary approach to the assessment, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse cases. CAMI monies provide funding for the development of specialized assessment and advocacy centers, and for development and maintenance of multidisciplinary investigative child abuse teams.
CAMI monies are distributed through the multidisciplinary teams (MDT), which are required by Oregon law and established in each county under the leadership of the local district attorney.
The CAMI Program Coordinator is Mike Maryanov. He can be be reached at 503-378-5307. The CAMI Program is part of the Crime Victims' Services Division of the Oregon Department of Justice.
The primary CAMI program application is a biennial application. The next cycle will be for the 2011-2013 funding period.
