About the Model Rules (Administrative Procedures)

The Administrative Procedures Act(APA) requires state agencies to adopt rules of procedure for use in rulemaking, contested cases and other administrative proceedings. The (APA) also directs the Attorney General to prepare Model Rules of procedure that state agencies may adopt.

  • Attorney General's Administrative Law Manual - A complete set of Model Rules, including commentary, sample notices and forms can be found in the Attorney General's Administrative Law Manual. The manual is updated and published every two years following the adjournment of the regular legislative session.
