2007 Consumer Protection Rulemaking
State law allows the Attorney General to make specific rules implementing the general prohibition against unfair or deceptive practices in the marketplace. Before adopting any such rule, the Attorney General invites comment from the public. - OAR 137-020-0040: Pending proposal to amend rules incorporating federal consumer protection laws/rules into state law.
- OAR 137-020-0015: Pending proposal to enhance protections against the false or misleading effects on consumers of offers to sell goods and services accompanied by "free" items or by "rebates".
- OAR 137-020-0020: Pending proposal to amend rules clarifying existing law concerning pricing disclosures, sales and leasing practices and financing of used and new motor vehicles.
