Attorney General Myers & Secretary of State Bradbury Warn Oregonians of Fraudulent Signature Gatherers

December 18, 2001

Secretary of State Bill Bradbury and Attorney General Hardy Myers will be holding a news conference to discuss methods for Oregonians to avoid being victims of fraud by signature gatherers.

Following a brief discussion of recent court action against fraudulent signature gatherers and general information on protection from fraud, Bradbury and Myers will release a brief video filmed during an investigation that demonstrates potentially illegal practices. A limited number of copies of the video will be available to the media.
