PRESS ADVISORY: AG KROGER AND DEQ LEAD TUALATIN RIVER PADDLE TOUR AND RIVERSIDE TOWN HALL

July 6, 2009

What: Tualatin River paddle and public forum. Attorney General John Kroger and DEQ Northwest Regional Administrator will lead a paddle tour of the Tualatin River, focusing on the environmental issues facing a significant tributary of the Willamette River. The Tualatin faces a variety of environmental threats, including high temperatures, threatened habitat, sewage discharge, agricultural and municipal run-off.

Where: Tualatin Community Park. 8515 S.W. Tualatin Road

When: Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Paddle starts at 3:30 p.m. Town hall starts at 6:30 p.m. Meet at the rustic shelter.

Note: Kayaks, life jackets and paddles available for media.
